The 1950’s in Brooklyn were a special time and I was fortunate enough to have experienced it. From Steeple Chase and Nathan’s in Coney Island to the idyllic pathways winding through Prospect Park and the Botanical Gardens, Brooklyn was a child’s wonderland. I learned my three R’s at PS 82, John Dewey Junior High School, John Jay High School (the old Manual Training), and Abraham Lincoln High School, Class of 1964 (ouch!). I earned my teaching degree at Brooklyn College and taught in various schools throughout Queens and Brooklyn. We relocated as a young family to Halloman Air Force
Base in Alamogordo, NM, compliments of Uncle Sam. Totally enthralled with the Southwest, we
decided to put down roots in Tucson, AZ and have been raising our family in the "Old
Pueblo" since 1973.
